India runs on Chai! No matter what city, village or metro you are in, you will always have a Chaiwalla selling piping hot Chai at every nook and corner.

"Cutting" Chai is a term synonymous with ordering a cup (or glass) of tea at these Chaiwallas.

This variation of the Street Style Chai has a bold flavor of CTC (crush, tear curl) tea mixed with ginger, cardamom, and varying spices.

This is your go-to cup if you like your chai strong with bold ginger notes.

How to make Cutting Chai the authentic Indian way (makes 2 cups) -

Step 1 - Boil 2 cups of water in a saucepan

Step 2 - Add 2-3 heaped tsp of chai and brew on medium heat for 3-5 minutes

Step 3 - Add 1/3 cup of milk and bring the chai to boil
